There is strong dissatisfaction among the employees of the State Transport Corporation regarding the salaries, allowances and remuneration received by the employees. A fast was held in front of the divisional offices in the state on behalf of the trade union action committee. Accordingly, the employees also staged agitation in Nashik.The State Transport Corporation has issued a circular agreeing to some of the demands. However, the action committee said that due to non-implementation, a financial crisis has arisen on the employees. The statement of the action committee said that the rate of 3 per cent annual wage increase and housing allowance has not been implemented as expected and it is unjust.
Despite the imposition of 28 per cent dearness allowance on state government employees, there is displeasure among the employees as the dearness allowance is being given to the employees of the State Transport Corporation as much as 12 per cent from 2019.The action committee had informed the managing director about the grievances of the employees. Accordingly, a hunger strike was held in front of the divisional offices on Wednesday. Even after this, if the administration does not accept the demands or come up with a solution, there will be agitation at the depot level.The workers have blown the trumpet of the agitation on Wednesday and an indefinite strike has been warned across the state from the 27th.

Gawli, Nagbhindkar of Bahujan Karmachari Sanghatana, Shaak Ingle of ST Kamgar Sesa, Deva Sangle, Janardan Jagtap of Kastrib, Shashikant Dhawale, driver, Kailas Karad of Vahak Sanghatana, Shashikant Jadhav were present.
