Forget Me Not
She stands alone, no one beside her,
All her children had pained her.
Thou she thinks were did she go wrong,
That she stood alone & all had gone.
Left with the scars on her land & poison in her rivers,
Even though she had never taken and always been a giver.
She must have been overjoyed over the human creation,
That she had created with a hope of self-incarnation.
Thou had she known that those of hers will cause her downfall,
Which will soon leave her as a mere baren ball.
Never would have she created us,
But yet she does no complaining nor creates a fuss,
Because she is a mother, our mother Earth.
But now we hold her feet and regret our deed,
We cause extinction and plant no seed.
We bored holes in her heart and pumped oil,
And cancered her skin by polluting the soil.
We have sinned enough to be shot with a gun,
But a mother always forgives her children as she has done.
We should not take this as granted,
And revive our mother and get her hydrated.
Yes, say with me, we are sorry dear mother Earth,
We could not stand up to the reason of our birth.
