  • IIT-Madras re-launches MS in entrepreneurship course

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras is re-launching the MS in Entrepreneurship programme. Selected scholars will work with faculty on ‘commercialisable ideas’.

They will be guided on how to discover entrepreneurial opportunities and formally establish their start-ups via an effective combination of taught courses, intense research supported by astute supervision and mentorship by highly accomplished entrepreneurs and others of the start-up ecosystem.

  • HC issues notices to IIM-A, Centre over PIL seeking quota in PhD admissions

The Gujarat High Court on Tuesday issued a notice to the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM-A) on a plea seeking implementation of reservation for the SC, ST and OBC candidates in its PhD programme.
IIM Alumni Network, has filed a public interest litigation (PIL) stating that although IIM-A was governed and funded by the Union education ministry, it was violating the Central Educational Institutions (Reservation in Admission) Act, 2006 while carrying out the admission process for the PhD programme.
